Seward-Tuesday

We are staying at a great place in Seward, off the beaten path and complete
with resident dogs!

Smores at 11 p.m.!  Seemed funny to build a fire during
daylight but it is too late to stay up for darkness!

...is good, here in Seward, except for...
Tsunamis!!

Tom didn't tell us about the recent helicopter crash of the company that
we used for our glacier and dogsledding trip, and he also didn't tell us that
there was risk of Tsunamis! Our house has an emergency
bag and evacuation plan!

We drove to the end of the road south of Seward and
came upon locals that I don't think care to have their picture
taken unless it is for a reality TV series!

This prison is know to be "The prison with
the best view."  Again, they weren't really into allowing
photography on the grounds.

Took a hike to Exit Glacier north of Seward.

We rented a scooter to allow me to "hike" with the rest!
Actually, I got it in case of bear, I'll put it on Rabbit and
the rest can fend for themselves!!

Sightings of wild life have been rare but
had to stop (on a narrow road with traffic) to
take a swan family photo.

So far, so good!  The brothers seem to be
getting along just fine.

Seward is a beautiful town, smaller than I had pictured.
We enjoyed the many murals and some enjoyed the coffee!

Looking forward to boat cruise that includes whale watching
and a trip to some glaciers!
